Welcome to the Math Department
Lexy Baracca coordinates all invited departmental visitors and is your first point of contact for visitor requests and assistance.
SAS Hall is located at 2311 Stinson Drive on the North Campus of NC State University. You can get driving or walking directions by typing "SAS Hall" or "2311 Stinson Drive, Raleigh" into Google Maps or a similar web site or app. If you are driving and follow directions to SAS Hall, you will have to stop at a visitor information booth on Stinson Drive, where you can obtain visitor parking information.
It is not necessary to go to the visitor information booth on Stinson Drive; instead you can drive directly to a public parking location and walk from there. We recommend using the Reynolds Coliseum Parking Deck shown on this map. For directions, type "Reynolds Coliseum Parking Deck" or "Jeter Drive, Raleigh" into Google Maps or a similar web site or app. Once you are near the Reynolds Coliseum Parking Deck, follow signs to "Public Pay Lot Coliseum Deck." The route you will take is shown on the map.
Public parking on the NC State campus costs $2 for the first hour and $1 for each additional hour with a $10 daily maximum. You must pay by credit or debit card. More information is here.
Alternatively, the Mathematics Department can obtain free parking permits for invited visitors. Your host should request the permit from Lexy Baracca no more than one week before your visit. You will receive an e-mail from NCSU Transportation with an attached parking pass to be placed on your dashboard. The parking pass will specify where you should park.
The following hotels have special rates for University visitors. Rooms can be direct billed to the Mathematics Department.
Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Raleigh Brownstone - University (a short walk to SAS Hall)
Holiday Inn Express Raleigh NC State (a short drive to SAS Hall, less expensive)
Aloft of Raleigh (a short walk to NCSU)
For a reservation at one of these hotels, your host should contact Lexy Baracca. Do NOT directly reserve the room yourself.
