Course Substitutions

This information is time-sensitive and accurate as of August, 2002.

Courses that may be substituted in the MA and AMA degrees.

ST 370 may be substituted for ST 380

MA 421 with ST 372 may be substituted for ST 371 + ST 372.  (Use of MA 421 as a pre-requisite for ST 372 should be confirmed by the student with the statistics department).

ST 372 + ST 370 (or ST 380) may be used for the 6-hour Statistics requirement in AMA.  Students must contact the Statistics Department to obtain permission to use ST 370 (or 380) as a pre-requisite for ST 372.

ST 421 + ST 422 may be substituted for ST 371 + ST 372.

CSC 222  may substitute for MA 225 after completion of CSC 565.

CSC 224  may substitute for MA 225 after completion of CSC 565.

CSC 226 may substitute for MA 225 after completion of CSC 565.

 

Courses that may NOT be substituted in the MA and AMA degrees.

CSC(MA) 222 is not an acceptable substitution for MA 225 except as indicated above.
