How to get Good Advising

Guidelines for Math Majors Plan of Work

What is required for your Plan?

  1. At least 3 full semesters of courses (or up to your graduation)
  2. All BASIC MATHEMATICS courses (this is a category in your Audit),
  3. CH 101 and 102
  4. Physics sequence (usually PY 205 and 208)
  5. ENG 101
  6. MA 405 (before MA 407)
  7. MA 407, and
  8. MA 425
Submit your plan before the live advising session. You must Submit your plan at least 24 hours before visiting.
The Plan is not a contract. If you are confused about how to use your Plan, or you just don't have any idea what courses to take, plan as much as you can.
What is your Automated Degree Audit (ADA)?
Software for creating a Plan of study that includes classes planned for future semesters.Plans Submitted by 5 pm are generally processed the next business day.
If you submit after 5pm, expect a 2-day turnaround. Your adviser cannot see changes made after 5pm due to the way Registration and Records processes the Plans.
Who is required to create a Plan of Work?
Undergraduate students, including new freshmen and transfer students.
Where is the ADA?
1. In your browser, click on the MyPack link at the Registration and Records web site.
2. Visit the Computer Consultants in the Undergraduate Tutorial Center if you don't know how to edit your Plan.
