Minor in Mathematics

Course Requirements

  • Course Requirements are available online.
  • Courses at the advanced undergraduate level that transfer from another institution can count toward the minor.
  • MA 225 is not required for the minor.

Steps to Obtaining a Minor in Mathematics

  1. (Required) Take the courses.
    • (Suggested) Seek advice on course selection from the Director of the Undergraduate Programs.
  2. Early in your last semester at NC State, before you submit your application for degree:
    • (Required) Complete the application for a minor in mathematics. The form is also available in HA 255.
    • (Required) Bring the form to HA 255 for certification.
    • (Required) Submit the (certified) application for the math minor with your application for degree to your major department.
