UNDERGRADUATE INFO
Advising

Undergraduate Math Majors,

Advising for Spring 2010 is upon us. Before you meet your adviser, enter the classes you plan to take for the next 3 semesters into your Plan of Work, and 'Submit' the plan for approval. This needs to be accomplished (at least) 24 hours before you meet with your adviser (the software cycles through the records overnight).

Each semester starts with an Advising Hold placed on your student account. The Advising Hold is released by meeting with your adviser. Once the relase has been issued, you can register for classes when your Enrollment Appointment arrives.

Information for Prof. Scroggs's advisees

  • At lease 24 hours before you visit for advising, revise your Plan of Work, and Submit it for approval by me. Your Plan will follow the guidelines posted online (link).
  • Try to catch Dr. Scroggs during office hours or arrange an appointment by contacting Mrs. Bucklad. Standard office hours are posted online (link), but often change without official notice. Appointments are recommended.

I have about 300 advisees. That means meeting with me early is strongly suggested. If Math is your first major, you should have your Advising Hold relased by your math adviser.

My office hours and instructions about making appointments are online.
