Abstract

In the talk, we present hyperbolic models in interacting cell systems. The models describe chemotactic cell movement driven by a diffusive external signal. Macroscopic behavior in biological systems can be explained in terms of microscopic parameters of the hyperbolic models. The issue of global existence is also discussed. The talk will begin with some illustrative examples of connection from individual to collective cell behavior.
