Grade Info You will probably do well in this course if you put in enough effort.
Letter grades will be on a 10-point scale
Throughout the semester you can view your past due WebAssignments at any time to see what your score was and to see an answer key for any assignment. At the end of the semester when final grades are assigned, +/- grading will be used. In accord with University policy, IN grades will be given only in cases where most of the work in the course has been completed and the student's work is interrupted so as to make it impossible to finish the semester on schedule. There are no dropped test grades or homework grades in this class. Nor is there any rounding of grades. An 89.9 is a B+. A 90.1 is an A-. Extensions: Since homework assignments are available to you for 10 days or longer, we don't give "free" extensions on homework. Always strive to have your assignments completed at least 3 days before the due date. That way you'll be playing it safe in case something comes up at the last minute. With any homework assignment you can "buy" an extension any time during the 4 days following the due date. The "cost" of a one-day extension is 4 points. You can buy up to 3 extensions per assignment during the 4 days following the due date. But realize that these costs do add up, so use some discretion and common sense in purchasing extensions. At any time you can view your completed assignments. A "past due" assignment is one whose due date had passed. These may be viewed along with the answer key. But, of course, you can't buy an extension for an assignment where you've already viewed the answer key.
