124 students have graduated from our Math Honors Program since 1992. We are very proud of their accomplishments:

  • 103 students went on to graduate school
  • 69 continued with Ph.D. study - 38 in math and 31 in math-related areas. Graduate schools attended include Princeton, MIT, Cambridge, Stanford, Wisconsin, NYU, Cornell, Maryland, Rutgers, UT-Austin
  • 34 went on for master's degrees - 25 in math and 9 in math-related areas
  • Two went to medical school
  • 36 students selected for the NSF-sponsored Research Experiences for Undergraduates
  • 31 studied abroad, including 21 at the Budapest Semesters in Mathematics
  • Two students have received Gates Cambridge Scholarships to University of Cambridge, UK
  • 11 students received NSF Graduate Fellowships, with 6 going to students in math. This ranks NC State 17th nationally, surpassing programs at many prominent universities such as Brown, Columbia, NYU, Rutgers, Wisconsin, and Maryland
  • Four students received Department of Defense Graduate Fellowships
  • One student received a Fulbright
  • One student received a Ford Foundation Fellowship
  • Five students received Goldwater Scholarships
