Center for Research in Scientific Computation (CRSC), an NC State multidisciplinary center that fosters research in scientific computing and provides a focal point for research in computational science, engineering and applied mathematics. Graduate education as well as postdoctoral research opportunities are a major focus of CRSC faculty and staff.
Center for Quantitative Sciences in Biomedicine (CQSB), an NC State multidisciplinary center that catalyzes and facilitates research projects in the biomedical sciences that require collaboration among scientists in the quantitative and biological disciplines. The CQSB aims to provide a basis for unique graduate and post-graduate training at the interface of the quantitative and biomedical sciences.
Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute (SAMSI), an NSF-funded national institute in Research Triangle Park, NC. SAMSI's vision is to forge a new synthesis of the statistical sciences and the applied mathematical sciences with disciplinary science to confront the very hardest and most important data- and model-driven scientific challenges. SAMSI is a partnership of Duke University, North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and
the National Institute of Statistical Sciences, in collaboration with the William R. Kenan, Jr. Institute for Engineering, Technology and Science.
