Central Support Site
Students in the Calculus for Scientists and Engineers sequence (MA 141, MA 241, MA 242) sometimes need support. This site serves as a clearinghouse for learning materials, answers to questions and communication channels to meet that need.
Ask a Question
There are three primary means of communication that students can make use of:
- Message boards - will be "open" 24/7. Students are free to answer each others' questions.
- Chat rooms (Under Construction)- will be places to have conversations. Students are actively engaged with the tutor and other students.
- E-mail - will be for students to ask questions directly of the appropriate people.
FAQ
This site has a variety of Frequently Asked Questions. These questions and answers cover the use of Maple in the Calculus sequence and various topics in each class of calculus.
Maple Support
Maple materials for students and faculty.
Learning Materials
Currently, the available materials are mainly videos of the MA 141 and 241 classes. These videos are from previous semesters and may offer slightly different treatments of topics than students get in their regular classes. These videos should not be considered as a substitute for regular class attendance but rather as a review mechanism.
Eventually, there will be Maple resources, tutorials, videos, interactivities and other materials that will help students understand the challenging concepts presented in the Calculus for Scientists and Engineers sequence.
