SUMMER PROGRAMS
Environment

Accommodations: Participants will live in Wolf Village, an on-campus, air-conditioned residence hall consisting of 4 person suites.  Each student will have his or her own room and will share common spaces, a kitchen, and restrooms with suitemates.  Students can choose to purchase meals in on-campus dining facilities or can provide their own meals, a partial meal allowance will be provided.  Students can also choose to pay for access to recreational facilities at a reasonable cost. Here is a campus map and tour. Work will be carried out in the Mathematics Department's computer lab, classrooms, and office space.  Groups will have access to software like Matlab, Maple, TeX, as well as email and Internet services. Raleigh is a mid-sized city with all the usual amenities and nearby recreational facilities.


Health Insurance:  Health insurance is not provided but students may purchase Campers Insurance for $25.50 for the ten-week session. Campers Insurance provides a maximum of $5000 in case of accident and $1000 in case of sickness with no deductible.

Parking: Students may bring cars to campus. Parking permits may be purchased for approximately $70 for the duration of the REU program.
