Travel Information (Note: we will update frequently):

Invited speakers will stay in Beijing Friendship Hotel
(http://www.bjfriendshiphotel.com/english/Index.html), the largest
garden hotel in Asia.

Beijing Capital Airport is located about 20km NE of Beijing.

By Subway: Take Airport metro line to Sanyuanqiao station and transfer to
Line 10 to Huangzhuang Station near Peking Univ.
Beijing Friendship Hotel is about 15 min. walking distance and
Beijing Univ is about 5 min from the exit.

Taxi: direct taxi is about 100-150 yuan to
Beijing Friendship Hotel.

Domestic travel info:

1) Beijing to Tianjin: 130 km,
30 min by the super-express train from Beijing South Station.

2) Beijing to Shanghai: about 1200 km from Beijing. You may want to travel
via
Shanghai, as there are more direct flights from USA and cheaper.
Regular one-way airfare from Shanghai to Beijing is 1130 yuan= 162 USD,
but you can usually get a discount. 10 hours by the overnight Express
train for about 500 yuan

3) Express Trains. China has one of the most sophisticated rail network in
the world, and new lines are open every year. Overnight express trains
connect Shanghai, Beijing and Wuhan (3 hubs in China) to other major
cities in China within 10 hours.

Starting from April 1, Shanghai will be connected to Wuhan via bullet
trains (speed up to 300 km/hr). Shanghai-Wuhan (1000 km): 4 hour 45 min.
