In April 2010, Scott Pope from SAS talked about being a numerical analyst at SAS and what qualities employers find desirable in applied mathematicians. His presentation in .ppt format is available here.

In November 2009, Michael Pernice from Idaho National Lab talked about modeling and sumulation work at INL. His presentation in .pdf format is available here (19 MB file).

In October 2009, Teresa Selee, a recent NCSU graduate, spoke to the chapter about her work at Georgia Tech Research Institute, where she has worked since she completed the requirements for her degree in Febrary 2009.

In July 2009, Ellen Peterson represented the NCSU chapter at the SIAM Annual Meeting in San Diego. Her presentation about the SIAM conference is available here in .pptx format (3 MB file).
