All alumni, family, spouses, and friends of the Department of Mathematics at NCSU are invited to come and meet old friends and to hear recent events in the department.
Demetrio Labate has
won a National Science Foundation CAREER Award, NSF's most prestigious award for junior faculty. The award
is described here.
PAMS and the Mathematics Department would like to congratulate Denise Seabrooks for being nominated for the 2008 SPA Awards for Excellence.

Nicole Kroeger, a sophomore majoring in mathematics, won a prestigious Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship for 2008-2009. (link)
